Welcome to the Campus Shuttle booking page
The University of Kent operates a free campus shuttle between Medway and Canterbury campuses, in partnership with The Kings Ferry. This service operates 7 days a week term time only and the journey takes approximately 50 minutes.
This service is only available to students and staff with a University of Kent login.
Book Journey
PLEASE NOTE: You are limited to a maximum of 10 open bookings at any one time. If you have any more than this limit then any subsequent bookings will be cancelled by the system and/or you will be prevented from making further bookings. Your open booking count is reduced when you either scan your ticket onboard, or you cancel an existing booking.

Booking a seat
It is essential that you book your a seat prior to travelling. You can book your seat up to 30 minutes before you travel. Follow the instructions below to book a seat. For travel between Pier Quays, Pembroke (Medway campus) and Dockyard (Western Avenue).
If you are either a carer who will need to travel on the Campus Shuttle service sitting next to the student you are travelling with, or if you are a student who requires a carer to sit next to you whilst travelling, please contact the Transport Team to assist with the booking.
- Use the Booking Journey form above to select your boarding and alighting stops and find availability for your desired date of travel.
- Select the Journey you wish to travel on – click the Book Now button to immediately book a seat on that service.
- On the My Bookings page, click ‘Get Boarding Pass’ to access your ticket for boarding. If you have a smartphone you can scan the ticket on your phone on the device located on the shuttle vehicle. If you do not have a smartphone, you can download and print your ticket. Scan the printed ticket when your board the shuttle.
If you have not booked and there are spaces available, you may be able to board with your KentOne or Kent Union card. (This is unavailable during COVID-19 when track-and-trace is in place).

Cancelling a Booking
To cancel a booking, go to My Bookings and click the Cancel Booking button for the required booking. Confirm your cancellation and this will be done immediately, and your seat will be freed up for somebody else to book.
If you do not cancel before travelling you may be charged an administration fee. Alternatively, you can contact TransportTeam@kent.ac.uk and notify as to why you were unable to travel at your booked time.
Coach features
The Kings Ferry are provide two new vehicles, one 53 seater and one 34 seater.
Features of the new vehicles include Wi-Fi, USB charging points, more comfortable seats, a toilet and fold out tables on the larger vehicle.
The Wi-Fi on the Campus Shuttle vehicles has been upgraded so you can stay connected on your journey. Password: Kingsferry50
To ensure you travel in confidence during this time, the campus shuttle have also introduced enhanced cleaning regimes, protective screens for the drivers, new purifying air filters and hand sanitiser dispensers.
Terms of service
The service is free and only available to all University of Kent staff and students (including Kent Union). You must make sure you have a valid KentOne Card (ID card). When using this service you will automatically agree to the Campus Shuttle terms of service.

When booking through GOstrada you are agreeing to Go Strada Limited storing and processing your data accordingly in order to facilitate your booking. You also agree to them contacting you on behalf of the University for service and platform updates.
